Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Nursing Program; Minimum grade of C in NURS 167, concurrent enrollment allowed

Introduction to the theoretical applications of concepts, principles, and skills needed for identifying and meeting the basic care needs of the culturally diverse adult client population. Emphasis is placed on utilization of the nursing process, effective communication skills, basic care concepts.
